Pippin the pig’s ancestors were not at the manger, so when Pippin asks, “But what did the pigs do?” she is told, “Pippin, face it. Pigs have nothing worthy to offer.”

But after Pippin runs away from the unwelcoming barn, she saves the day when a young mother wandering with her baby gets lost in a snowstorm and needs help and shelter.
