A scarce book by the Montreal-based, Canadian author-illustrator Marie-Louise Gay.

After finding a magician's games on his seventh birthday and turning his sister, friend, and aunt into animals, Willy Nilly must find a way to turn them back before his party starts.

"This story is an adaptation of the puppet play Bonne Fête Willy, written by Marie-Louise Gay. The play, performed by the Théâtre de l’Œil of Montreal, has toured Canada since January 1989. Marie-Louise Gay also designed the puppets, costumes, and sets of Bonne Fête Willy" (quoted from verso of title page). 

Condition: lacks jacket, spine slightly cocked else a fine copy.
